Taking Care Of Your Leather|How To.

Take a look at a few of your accessories. Leather? In fact, I’d bet that the majority of your accessories are made from various types of leather. Types of leather like full grain leather, top grain leather, corrected leather, amongst others.

Leather is a classic material, which is durable and reliable, stylish and tough. But despite being a tough material, it needs to be given the sufficient amount of love and care. The better you treat and maintain your leather accessories – shoes, bags, clothes, etc., the longer they last.

This tough but fragile material is a special type which should not be treated nonchalantly, here are a few tips on how to care for your leather.

The first and probably the easiest tip that comes to mind is keeping them clean, at all times. Whatever the type of leather or accessory, make sure they are void of dust and dirt.

Keep them away from direct sunlight and heat for an extended period of time. Leather changes when exposed to sunlight and heat. It can fade, shrink and become very dry.

Another important tip is, store them properly. This plays a prominent role in how long they last. Don’t be careless with your leather accessories.

Our final tip, keep your items in a cool, dry place when not in use. Mildew can deteriorate leather if it is allowed to grow on it. Don’t leave your items in a humid or wet basement – this could promote the growth of mildew.

Don’t keep them in plastic either. Removing all air supply from leather is bad for the material.

We hope you treat your leather better,
